The Universal Power of Gratitude

April 10th, 2011 Brian Maxwell 46 comments

In the USA we celebrate Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday in November every year. However, I’ve come to understand that there is great, POSITIVE power in having an “attitude of gratitude” all year long, that can create measurable differences in your life.

No matter where in the world you call home, and whether you traditionally take a day to celebrate the idea of giving thanks, or not — let this be a reminder to stop and really take the time to count your blessings.
Counting your blessings and taking time to appreciate the special people in your life can be done any time, any place, at no financial expense… and it’s truly a gift to yourself, as well as to those you thank.

The question I get asked very often is Brian “How do I forgive my past and look forward to the future?” This question is far more common than you may think or realize. Past experiences where we have been hurt either emotionally, physically or sexually can have a dominating impact on our lives if we don’t learn how to forgive the past and look forward to the future. Now you might ask “How do I look forward to the future when all I’ve gotten is heartbreak?” The answer is a simple one yet it is extremely difficult to practice unless you learn how to forgive your past and look forward to the future by wiring or changing your current way of thinking. No matter what happened in the past we all have the ability to completely transform our lives when we learn to think and act in a certain way.
