Doomsday Clock End of the World False Predictions?

Lately I’ve noticed an increase in the “Doomsday Clock” discussion.. Headline’s reading “Doomsday Clock Ticks Closer to Midnight” are all over the internet. Apparently a prominent group of scientists in 1945 set up this clock to illustrate impending nuclear annihilation. At the time it was created their main concern for the doomsday clock was nuclear war and midnight symbolized a widespread nuclear conflict. The doomsday clocks time was moved to 11:55 today. Their concerns have shifted however, more onto Global warming. The dangers posed by climate change are just a severe as those posed by nuclear weapons scientist say. I began to wonder how the creation of the Doomsday Clock  has caused the world to fear that something awful is on the horizon but they don’t know exactly what.
