Low Carb Vegetarian Diet Food to Live Healthy

Can vegetarians opt for a low carb vegetarian diet and still be healthy? The answer is yes and here are a number of low carb vegetarian diet foods that anyone can include in their diet. Also, opting for a low carb vegetarian diet has proven to be effective for most people who desire to lose a few pounds. Some really good low carb vegetarian diet food options are vegetables and fruits that are low in sugars as well as to go for oils that come from fruits and certain nuts.

Many vegetarians believe soy foods that are low on carbs are really good. Tofu, which is a highly regarded soy food product is highly recommended for your low carb vegetarian diet. A few meat substitutes for vegetarians have been soy-based foods such as veggie burgers, vegetarian sausages, fake cold cuts and ground beef substitutes. Dairy is a common source of weight loss delay for many people and can be problematic in other ways for many others so be cautious when making your low carb vegetarian diet. Also, it’s very hard to get enough protein from dairy without going over one’s daily carb intake limits. Use dairy products as an addition to the main foods on your low carb vegetarian diet food list, if you use it at all to make them more flavorful and tasteful for example. Eggs are also good protein source that are great for your low in carb vegetarian diet that lacto-ovo vegetarians might enjoy. Egg yolk is also an excellent source other nutrients so they could also be added to your low carb vegetarian diet.

Vegetarians that wish to eat only low carb vegetarian food could also try low carb vegetables, nuts and seeds. For fruits, those that are low in sugar are great for your low carb vegetarian diet. The oils that are naturally found in avocados and olives are also highly recommended as additions to your low carb vegetarian diet. Slow down on refined sugars and remember that since we are going for a low carb vegetarian diet, vegetables are much better than fruits.

With your low carb vegetarian diet, you should always read labels to find the carb content of the food that you are eating.  Monitor foods that have excessive seasoning in them because they could increase the carb content of your food. The same goes for tofu that comes with flavor already. The flavor could come only from seasonings so it may be best for your low carb vegetarian diet to simply buy the tofu and flavor it yourself. While adding flavor to your food, some used seasonings are cayenne pepper, herbs, garlic, and a variety of cheeses. You don’t have to sacrifice flavor as long as you know how the seasonings and flavorings find their way in your food. Stir fried vegetables as well as grilled vegetables are great low carb vegetarian diet food. You use these with low carb pasta so you get the best of flavor and filling without actually going overboard with the intake of carbs.

A possible downside however, in any low carb vegetarian diet is deficiency of certain vitamins and minerals. Iron is known to be one example. For vegetarians, an excellent  iron source is beans and nuts. De Low iron could lead to anemia so there is a special caution should be taken for vegetarian women who are pregnant or if they are already anemic. This may be remedied by taking iron supplements.

Low carb vegetarian diet foods for vegetarians can also be a little be a little expensive and many of them are processed. These are a few of the factors to consider in choosing foods that one wants to include in a low carb vegetarian diet.

Health Tips for Coping with Stress at home and at Work

Use these simple tips when coping with stress in your day to day living.

One tip for coping with stress is to create realistic short and long term expectations and goals for yourself and your life and you will suffer less disappointment. Seeing everything as already perfect and accepting things as they are, is extremely helpful when coping with stress and you’ll relax more.

Learning to say “no” is also key when coping with stress. Next time someone asks you to do something, before the word ‘yes’ slips out, pause, say you can’t give an answer just yet - you’ll get back to them. This technique for coping with stress gives you time to think. Now you can choose to say “no”, calmly, politely and kindly and stress free.

Do one thing at a time. SLOW DOWN! If you are racing, you are coping with stress in an unhealthy way and so is your heart! Write yourself a list, prioritize your tasks and work through your list methodically. Enjoying what you are doing has tremendous impact on your ability when you’re coping with stress, not just the results of your efforts.

Stop trying to fall asleep. So many people go to bed when coping with stress feeling desperate to fall asleep as quickly as possible, and then suffer the frustration and stress of wakefulness later. Quit struggling - you need to relax before you can sleep because sleep has does not assist you while coping with stress, it may be harmful to you! Be thankful that you are warm, safe and cozy, be glad that your body is resting. Breathe deeply, slowly, gently and listen to your heart beating peacefully.

Laughing more is my favorite technique when I’m coping with stress! Get serious about humor. Laughter is seriously healing ad will be your best medicine for coping with stress. The special chemicals released when we laugh are nature’s finest form of natural medicine. When you struggle daily coping with stress, make sure you ’suffer’ some serious laughter in the evening. Watch a comedy show or film, one you know will produce laughter, this will counter the stress you’ve experienced throughout the day and will make coping with stress much easier. Treat yourself to a catnap and don’t feel guilty about it. When your body is pleading for rest, “40 winks” works wonders for coping with stress but only if you don’t feel guilty about this.

Get out in the fresh air! Getting a break from your Drab office is key to coping with stress in the work place, the whir of computer hard drives the drone of your boss’s demands can become overwhelming. Get outside during your lunch break, find a patch of green, some flowers, even wander around a garden center! Lose yourself in nature and feel your ability for coping with stress, for a while at least.

Live in the NOW. The past is over it is only an illusion in your mind because it no longer exist except in YOUR mind, you can’t change it. The future is a mystery and seductive, and is only created with our  dreams. What you need for coping with stress is with you NOW so make the most of it. Be creative and give everything you’ve got to in the NOW to improve your quality of life today!

Create a Workout Routine in 10 Simple Steps

If you’re like most people, finding time for creating a workout routine is difficult. Here are my “top 10″ tips to help you in that quest..

1. Make your workout routine a priority. We all find time to enjoy the things that we enjoy to us. If I told you I’d give you a $1,000 dollars if you followed a workout routine everyday for the next 30 days, could you do it? Of course you could, because it would suddenly become a priority. If you’re serious about finding time for your workout routine, then it must be a priority in your life.

2. Block specific periods of time everyday for your workout routine. This way it becomes part of your daily routine just like brushing your teeth or washing your face (I hope you do). Vigorously guard honor this time for your workout routine. This is your time to take care of yourself.

3. You should schedule your workout routine first thing in the morning. This is when your workout routine is least likely to be disturbed by other things.

4. Turn off the T.V. The average adult spends 16 hours per week watching television. One of my students told me that she resolved to only watch television during her workout routine. You may not be interested in taking it that far but you can certainly cut out a few hours of television a week to make time for your workout routine.

5. Start your workout routine early in the morning. Try going to sleep a little earlier and getting up a little earlier to so your workout routine will be the first thing that you do in the morning.

6. Your workout routine can even be 30 minutes on your lunch break.

7. You should install some type of book holder or book rack for your riding treadmill so you can read during your workout routine

8. While walking around the neighborhood Visit with your friend rather than sitting on the couch.

9. Take a couple of days to write down how you spend your time everyday. Determine how you can better use your time to fit in your workout routine.

10. Make your workout routine as enjoyable as possible. You will be much more likely to find time for things you enjoy.
