How to Forgive the Past and Look Forward to the Future

July 14th, 2009 Brian Maxwell 2 comments

The question I get asked very often is Brian “How do I forgive my past and look forward to the future?” This question is far more common than you may think or realize. Past experiences where we have been hurt either emotionally, physically or sexually can have a dominating impact on our lives if we don’t learn how to forgive the past and look forward to the future. Now you might ask “How do I look forward to the future when all I’ve gotten is heartbreak?” The answer is a simple one yet it is extremely difficult to practice unless you learn how to forgive your past and look forward to the future by wiring or changing your current way of thinking. No matter what happened in the past we all have the ability to completely transform our lives when we learn to think and act in a certain way.

In today’s health conscious society millions are aware of the health issues that can occur as a result of smoking cigarettes. The more we resist the urge to smoke cigarettes, the tougher it can become and the desire to smoke cigarettes continues to  increase. Many try medication to quit smoking cigarettes, hypnosis, and support groups to overcome their nicotine addiction. Regardless of the method we choose, we ultimately can cause distress to our mind and body.

Our leadership development, getting what we want and creating the lives we desire to live can be a complex process, but most often not as complex as we think. I find over and over again a couple of very common themes when speaking about leadership development. (After all, being human beings, we tend to have common threads of leadership skills and personal growth potentional and it makes it really convenient to help us learn together.) A couple of these helpful themes for leadership development and personal development are: 1) get quiet, breathe, 2) look inside for answers, trust your inner knowing, 3) directly engage, don’t waste your time in “he said/she said,” making stuff up, and gossip, 4) take excellent care of yourself in the process, and, 5) just do…after contemplation, due diligence and decision making – action must occur for any leadership development or personal development to occur.

Dress for Success | How to Dress to Attract Success and Wealth

How to dress for success is a question that people often have when preparing for success in the game of life that they really want to win.

The best way to dress for success is fairly straight forward for all situations.

When you dress for success you really can’t go wrong with wearing business attire.

For a man, a business suit is a great way to dress for success. Not a blazer and different color pants, a two-piece suit is the best way to dress for success. Choose an appropriate and matching tie. You really can’t go wrong with a good suit (think neutral or business colors like navy blue, black or dark gray as you dress for success).
