Generation G and the Power of Change for the Future
Generation G has revealed itself as a powerful force to be acknowledged as the current economic downturn of our country has millions eager for change. The G stands for Generosity not Greed and is the new sharing is caring ideology that is sweeping the world. Generation G showed the amazing impact it can have in our country during the recent history making election of President Barack Obama. Businesses like Google, Twitter and Facebook have recognized the shift in consciousness and awareness of Generation G and have used the “sharing is caring” approach in their marketing strategies and public relations.
Unlike the corporate greed that has held our country by the throat for the last 25 - 40 years Generation G has adopted the social networking and sharing of information. This generation focuses on businesses opportunities that can be lucrative but also provide a true service to its consumers. Generation G is fed up with the business practices where a few get rich at the expense of the many, because there is more than enough to go around for everyone. Let me clarify one thing, I’m not saying that Generation G doesn’t believe in rewarding effort. I believe that this generation believes that everyone should have equal opportunity or at least a fair chance.
The baby boomers are the parents of Generation G and are nearing retirement and the shift in the paradigm is upon us. Change is more evident in our everyday life. Generation G wants to deal with businesses that care and are not simply out for capital gains and profits. This generation is also tired of the old way our politicians have communicated with them using the old “what you don’t know is better for you” excuse better known as National Security. While I do agree that some things should be handled with discretion, topics that affect our everyday life like education, the economy and health care should be more transparent.
The momentum of Generation G is growing and more people and businesses are accepting the passing of the old and embarrassing CHANGE! To strengthen the movement and success of Generation G now and in the future requires that we do our part to improve our quality of life. This is accomplished with personal development, self improvement and love for one another. Not since the New Thought movement of the 19th century has personal development be so widely discussed and sought out. The current economic downturn has taught millions of unemployed Americans that a j.o.b (just over broke) isn’t promised. Many are becoming aware of the fundamental truth that anything is possible if and when you believe in yourself.
By developing our mind and improving ourself creates more opportunities for us to succeed during any economic conditions. I believe Generation G is the beginning of an end to the old selfish ways of thinking about success, happiness and wealth. Generation G will set positive footprints for future generations to follow in a society and a world where everyone can achieve their dreams and goals with sharing, caring and generosity.
Are you doing your part? What have you done to improve yourself, your quality of life or the lives of others? Become a part of the magnificent movement of Generation G that is changing the view of the world as we’ve known it to be and embrace the power of change, the power of sharing and the affects of personal growth. To transform our life requires effort on our part. To improve our current lifestyles we must discover how to improve our quality of life!
