One tip for coping with stress is to create realistic short and long term expectations and goals for yourself and your life and you will suffer less disappointment. Seeing everything as already perfect and accepting things as they are, is extremely helpful when coping with stress and you’ll relax more.
Learning to say “no” is also key when coping with stress. Next time someone asks you to do something, before the word ‘yes’ slips out, pause, say you can’t give an answer just yet - you’ll get back to them. Get out in the fresh air! Getting a break from your Drab office is key to coping with stress in the work place, the whir of computer hard drives the drone of your boss’s demands can become overwhelming. Get outside during your lunch break, find a patch of green, some flowers, even wander around a garden center! Lose yourself in nature and feel your ability for coping with stress, for a while at least.
Live in the NOW. The past is over it is only an illusion in your mind because it no longer exist except in YOUR mind, you can’t change it. The future is a mystery and seductive, and is only created with our dreams. What you need for coping with stress is with you NOW so make the most of it.
